Hi. I’m Belinda.

I created B. Freeth Studio to showcase my artwork outside of my graphic design business. I am inspired by nature and our intrinsic relationship to it. I will be updating my shop with art that I hope exposes the beauty and small details of nature that are often overlooked. I do have a fascination with birds in particular. Their behavioral intelligence and beauty are mind-boggling.

I use colored pencils on 100% cotton, acid-free, museum-grade paper to create my artwork. Prints available in my shop are printed on a similar paper with impressive results. I use digital technology to help with preliminary studies.

I am Boston-born and LA-raised. My family relocated to the LA area when I was three years old. My father was born in Sawahlunto, West Sumatra, Indonesia. My mother was born in the city of Alkmaar in the Netherlands. After marrying in the Netherlands, they immigrated to the U.S. in 1960. I think it's amazing that our family ended up here, in Southern California, where I've raised two kids of my own with my husband and business partner. For almost 30 years, our graphic design business has worked on campaigns that focus on environmental issues both locally and state-wide.
